Special Padre Pio music concert featuring intl. Catholic artists, on tour in Calif

Mark Your Calendars! Sunday June 25th @ 3pm: St Joseph Basilica in Alameda is hosting a FREE 1-hour concert of two internationally renowned Catholic artists:

Tiano Vas  - singer-songwriter and folk/classical guitarist from Argentina who has had wildly successful tours of Europe and South America. His "pop" Christian music videos are highly popular worldwide (this is his USA debut tour)
and
Anna Maria Mendieta - harpist and tango specialist who has performed for President Clinton, President Gorbachev, and the King and Queen of Spain, as well as on EWTN and other TV networks, NPR, Emmy Awards, etc.

Both of these dedicated Catholic artists have also performed for Pope Benedict XVl, at the Vatican, and at World Youth Day in Spain.

As the Vas-Mendieta duo they have put together a special "Musical Mission" concert sharing the life and mission of Padre Pio and his devotion to Mary, through bi-lingual songs and instrumental pieces. This program is touring through the USA under the sponsorship of the JesuCristo Vence organization sharing evangelization through the arts.
Their special Bay Area performance is on Sunday June 25 at 3pm, as part of the monthly Notes for Nourishment concert series sponsored by Listen for Life and hosted at the Basilica of St Joseph, 1109 Chestnut Street, in Alameda. Entrance is free to the public for this one-hour event, and donations will be collected to benefit a nonprofit organization that nourishes the hungry, homeless and hurting of our region and beyond.
